Colonial Slate Landmark Pro on a Condominium in Pembroke
This project covered the Josselyn Farm condominium community in Pembroke, a set of multi-unit colonial-style buildings with clapboard walls, brick accents, and multiple gables across each structure. On a multi-building condo the roof is a large, repeating surface, so a consistent color and clean coursing across every unit are what tie the whole community together.
We installed CertainTeed Landmark Pro in Colonial Slate. Colonial Slate is a cool gray blend with lighter and darker granules that mimics natural slate. Across the tan and brick buildings the gray roof gives every unit a uniform, traditional cap and keeps the community looking cohesive from building to building.
We tore each roof off down to the deck, replaced any soft sheathing, and ran ice and water shield at the eaves and through the valleys before laying the field. Every unit division, valley, and chimney was flashed, new drip edge went on along the eaves and rakes, and the ridges were capped to match the coursing. On a condominium the courses have to line up unit to unit, so each building was run to match for a clean asphalt roof replacement across the property.
