Driftwood Shingles, Velux Skylights, and Harvey Windows in Buzzards Bay
This Alderberry Road two-story mixes tan vinyl siding and black shutters out front with weathered cedar shingles around back and a full-width rear deck. The owners wanted the exterior shell handled in one pass, so we ran roofing, skylights, and windows as one project.
For the roof we used CertainTeed Landmark Pro in Driftwood, an asphalt architectural shingle in a soft gray-brown blend that works over both the tan front and the cedar back. We pulled and reset two Velux skylights during the tear-off, one on the front slope and one on the back, so fresh flashing kits seal into new shingles.
Harvey replacement windows went in throughout. On a coastal lot this close to the bay, we taped every rough opening, set units plumb, and ran trim back tight to keep wind-driven rain out. See our other Buzzards Bay projects for more multi-service coastal work.
