Granite Gray Landmark Pro on a Ranch in Medfield
This Medfield home is a long single-story ranch with sage-green siding, a brick chimney, and foundation plantings across the front, set back on a wooded lot. The roof is one long low plane across the whole house, so the shingle color sets the tone for the elevation.
We installed CertainTeed Landmark Pro in Granite Gray. Granite Gray is a mid-to-dark gray blend with cool tonal movement. Over sage-green walls the gray roof settles the palette and gives the long low ranch a defined cap without fighting the natural wall color.
We tore the old roof off down to the deck, replaced any soft sheathing, and ran ice and water shield at the eaves and through the valleys before laying the field. The chimney was step-flashed into the slope, new drip edge went on along the eaves and rakes, and the ridge was capped to match the coursing. On a long ranch the eave line runs unbroken across the front, so that is where a clean asphalt roof replacement shows.
