Light Maple Cedar Impressions Siding on a Split-Level in Canton
This Canton home is a split-level with a painted-brick lower level, a bay window, and an attached garage set on a landscaped lot. The upper walls carry most of the visible siding, so the material and color set the tone for the whole front of the house.
We re-sided the upper walls in CertainTeed Cedar Impressions shingle siding in Light Maple. Cedar Impressions is a polymer shingle siding with the deep texture and shadow lines of hand-split cedar, and Light Maple is a warm tan that reads like natural weathered shake. Over the painted brick base the maple shingle walls give the split-level warmth and texture without the upkeep of real wood.
We stripped the old siding, checked and repaired the sheathing, and ran new house wrap before installing the Cedar Impressions shingles. Corners, the bay window, and window and door trim were all wrapped for a tight, finished look, and the shingle courses were kept level across the full run so the new siding replacement reads straight from every angle.
