Moire Black Landmark Pro on a Ranch in Pembroke
This Pembroke home is a single-story ranch with light gray siding, a bay window, a black front door, and foundation plantings across the front. The long low roof runs the width of the house, so the shingle color sets the tone for the whole elevation.
We installed CertainTeed Landmark Pro in Moire Black. Moire Black is a true black with subtle tonal shifts rather than a flat paint-black. Against light gray walls the dark roof gives the low ranch a clean, defined top edge and sharpens the whole front.
We tore the old roof off down to the deck, replaced any soft sheathing, and ran ice and water shield at the eaves and through the valleys before laying the field. New drip edge went on along the eaves and rakes and the ridge was capped to match the coursing. On a ranch the long eave line is what the eye follows, so that run had to stay straight for the asphalt roof replacement.
