Pewterwood Landmark Pro on a Stucco Colonial in Franklin
This Franklin home is a large stucco colonial with white walls, a corner turret and balcony, stone accents at the entry, and multiple gables stepping across the front. With this many roof planes in view, the shingle color carries the whole look of the house.
We installed CertainTeed Landmark Pro in Pewterwood. Pewterwood is a warm gray blend with soft brown undertones rather than a flat slate gray. Against white stucco and stone the warm gray roof keeps the colonial from going cold and monochrome and ties the many planes together as one consistent surface.
We tore the old roof off down to the deck, replaced any soft sheathing, and ran ice and water shield at the eaves and through every valley before laying the field. Each gable, dormer, and valley was flashed, new drip edge went on along the eaves and rakes, and the ridges were capped to match the coursing. On a cut-up roof like this the valleys and tie-ins are where the work is won, so those were detailed tight for the asphalt roof replacement.
