A Full Exterior Makeover on Standish Avenue in Plymouth
This Standish Avenue home took on the whole exterior at once. Roof, siding, windows, and a deck, all in one project. The house is a 1.5-story main block with a two-story wing on the right, and the owners wanted every surface brought up to the same level at the same time.
The roof went to CertainTeed Landmark Pro in Charcoal Black, an asphalt architectural shingle that anchors the two-tone siding below it. For the walls we ran Royal Exterior Portfolio vinyl siding, gray on the main body and navy blue on the wing, so the two volumes read as distinct without clashing. The new Harvey windows sit in clean white trim against both colors.
The deck work tied it together. We rebuilt the raised rear deck with a dark railing and fresh stairs, and the second-floor deck over the wing got new white railing to match the trim. On a multi-trade job like this, the order matters: roof and window replacements first to lock out weather, then siding, then the deck so nothing gets scuffed by later trades.
