Solar Powered by Marios is seeking a Sales and Estimating Manager for our new solar division in residential and commercial applications.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sales & Estimating Manager at Solar Powered by Marios in Stoughton, MA. The Sales & Estimating Manager will be responsible for managing sales activities, preparing estimates, analyzing data, developing and implementing sales strategies, and overseeing the estimating process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for solar energy projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other associated costs
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates
• Utilize estimation software and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency

Team Management:

• Lead and manage a team of product specialists, providing guidance, training, and support
• Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of estimates
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed

Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with specialists, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and alignment on project requirements
• Participate in project planning meetings to provide insights and recommendations based on cost analysis
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, bids, and presentations for clients

Client Relations:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any questions or concerns related to cost estimates
• Provide support during the negotiation process, offering insights and justifications for cost estimates
• Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality and timely estimates

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or any related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, preferably in the solar energy or construction industry
• Proven experience in managing and leading a team
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools (knowledge with Solo and Aurora)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of solar energy systems, industry standards, and regulations
• Experience with large-scale solar projects
• Familiarity with renewable energy incentives and financing options
